General Notes: Husband - Barton S. Porter


He was a farmer, owning a farm in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, and also woodland. He was also the owner of a sawmill. During the Civil War he served three years in the army. Mr. Porter was a Republican and served as school director and supervisor while living in Lycoming County. He belonged to Proctor Post, Grand Army of the Republic, and was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church.
He died at the age of seventy-two.
