General Notes: Wife - Sarah Todd
[She was] a sister of Gen. Eli Todd [of the Revolutionary War] and daughter of Robert Todd, of Trappe, Pennsylvania. Eli Todd had a son Robert and a daughter Mary, the latter becoming the wife of Abraham Lincoln. [HIC 1913, 1105] But this is not in harmony with other information known about the Todd family to which Mary Todd Lincoln belonged.
Another source suggests that she was the daughter of Gen. Eli Todd.
