General Notes: Husband - Samuel Fergus


He was born in Scotland and after reaching America, came to Adams County, Pennsylvania, with his family of four children.

He first located on a farm one mile distant from the later Fergus family farm in South Strabane Township, Washington County, taking up 150 acres of land. He was a Whig in politics. He was identified with the Seceder Church.
