Smicksburg, Indiana Co, PA
Another source: he was born in Centre County, Pennsylvania.
Civil War: he was in company B, 78th Pennsylvania volunteers about one year and nine months; he was detached at first for the commissary department, and for about a year was on General Negley's staff as secretary.
Mr. Fulton had in his possession a tomahawk or stone hatchet, weighing five pounds, found on his farm. He also had a very valuable collection of geological specimens, including some very rare specimens of petrifaction. His parents were methodists, and he was a member of the same denomination.
