Peter and Celinda Feltenberger separated. Peter went back east of the mountains in Pennsylvania, where he had previously lived.

A family tradition states that Peter left Selinda and went back to eastern Pennsylvania, married again (a bigamist!) and had another family. Later, after his death, by chance the two families met and became friends.

Records from the Rockland M. E. church show that she was baptised as an adult there on February 29, 1880.

There is no marker for her in Rockland Cemetery.
