East Huntingdon Twp, Westmoreland Co, PA - a farmer

He received his education in the Felgar school. From his youth he led the life of a farmer and remained on the family homestead until he had reached the age of twenty-seven. In 1897, after the death of his father, he purchased one hundred and twelve and a half acres of the estate. His farm was situated two miles and a half northwest of Scottdale.
He was a member of Zion Reformed church.
