General Notes: Husband - John N. Allison
He was educated in the public schools and at Witherspoon Institute, and taught school for six years. Being reared a farmer, he selected that as a vocation. He was a stanch Republican, filled the offices of school director and township auditor, the latter for twelve years, and was elected county auditor in 1893. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church, and was a trustee in the Holyoke congregation.
