General Notes: Husband - John Allison

---

He and his brother Robert, occupied the homestead property together until 1818. In the spring of that year the two brothers divided the land between them, John taking the unimproved part; he cleared a patch, cut some logs, and prepared to build a house. He lived on the property until 1866, when he sold it to a man named Shearer and moved to Indiana, where he spent the remainder of his days.
