General Notes: Husband - John Allison

---

He came with his family from Scotland to America about the year 1780, and made a settlement in the wild woods of Washington County, Pennsylvania.

He and his wife were natives of the Highlands of Scotland and when they emigrated to America they settled in Washington County, Pennsylvania, in 1768, and on April 5, 1786, they obtained a patent for 415 acres of land. They located on that land and continued to add to the original parcel until they owned 640 acres.
