General Notes: Husband - Henry Hoke

He was of German origin. He removed from Adams County, Pennsylvania, to Fulton County, before 1826, and was a tinsmith at McConnellsburg.

General Notes: Wife - Sarah Eyster

She was a descendant of John Jacob Eyster, a native of the kingdom of Wurtemberg, Germany, who emigrated to Pennsylvania between 1717 and 1727, bringing with him his son, Christian Eyster, born in Germany in 1710. The family settled at Oley, Berks County, but removed to York County, in 1736. Elias Eyster (born in 1734), who lived to be almost a centenarian, was the eldest son of Christian. Mrs. Hoke was a grand-daughter of Elias Eyster.
