JESSE EXLEY
Jesse Exley, a highly respected cit­izen of Monroe, died at his home on Sunday evening, March 9, 1930, aged 81 years. Although in failing health for some time, yet he was able to be up and around until the time of his death.
Mr. Exley was a loyal and sincere Christian, a member of St. Paul's Lu­theran church, and always in good standing; a kind husband, a loving father, and a friend to all.
Besides his beloved wife and one son, Freeman Exley, he leaves a brother, Fred Exley, and a sister, Mrs. Tean Long, together with a large number of less close relatives, to mourn his departure. Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Following prayer at the home, services were continued from St. Paul's Lutheran church at 11:00 o'clock Wed­nesday morning. Interment was made in the cemetery beside the church.
The sympathy of the community is extended to the Exley family and re­lationship.
