General Notes: Husband - Curtis Sylvester Marshall


When a youth he attended Glade Run Academy. He entered the mercantile establishment of J. Campbell & Co., as a clerk in 1872. Soon after his marriage he engaged in business for himself, which he did in company with T. M. Elder and Wesley Pontius. These three established a general store in Dayton, Pennsylvania, under the firm name of C. S. Marshall & Co.
