The Euwer family was planted in America by three brothers, Patrick, Samuel and John Euwer, who emigrated from Ireland in 1796.

He was a native of Ireland, who settled in Plum township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, about the beginning of the 1800s. He was a descendant of the Scotch Covenanters, and an active worker in that sect.

He came to America from Ireland, and in 1796 settled in Plum township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, on the present site of New Texas, buying 270 acres there.

He was born in Ireland, and on coming to the United States, settled in Plum township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, where he purchased some two hundred and seventy acres of land and engaged in farming during the remainder of his life. He was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian church.
