General Notes: Husband - David Fox
He was one of the large property owners of Hempfield township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, being the possessor of seven hundred acres of land, including the family homestead. He was a farmer, and for sixteen years conducted a distillery. He was also engaged in the coal business and owned one-half of the Eureka coal mines at Eureka, Pennsylvania. In politics he was a strong Republican. He and his wife were members of the Lutheran church.
