General Notes: Husband - James Scott, M.D.
In the subscription schools and at Marshall's academy he received a liberal education. He studied medicine, and at Ohio Medical College took his degree, after which he commenced practice at Lebanon, Warren County, Ohio. He was a very prominent and influential man, and for some time represented his state in the legislature on the Republican ticket. In church connection he was a Presbyterian.
