General Notes: Husband - James Stevenson
He was born in Raphoe, Ireland, and in 1817, shortly after marriage, came to America, where he settled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
They arrived in Pittsburgh in 1817, and Mr. Stevenson became a postoffice clerk under David Lynch. He was tax-collector for the South (later Second ward) at the time of his death.
Notes: Marriage
They eloped and her father pursued and found them when about to sail for America. Finding they were married, he threw one hundred guineas in his daughter's lap, bidding her farewell.
