General Notes: Husband - Scott Elricks

He went to Illinois when a young man and was married. He went to California across the plains by wagon. While traveling his oxen got sore feet and he fell behind the company, thus saving his goods and probably his life, for the company was attacked by Indians. He returned to Iowa, where he and his family resided on a farm near Clarinda, Page County.
