General Notes: Husband - James Elgin, Sr.
He came to America in 1782. He became one of the first settlers in what is now Plum Creek township, Armstrong County, PA, clearing and improving a homestead near what is now the site of Elderton. In 1830 he removed to what is now Cowanshannock (then Wayne) township, purchasing 300 acres of land.
