General Notes: Husband - George Wilson Hazlett
He was educated at Tarentum, Pennsylvania, and commenced his career by enlisting in February, 1864, Battery F, I. L. A. The company was at once ordered to Washington, where it was held as a reserve. He was discharged June 26, 1865, and, returning home, began farming for himself, his father's farm being divided between the three boys. He had a farm of sixty acres. In 1880 his house, with all its contents, was burned.
He was auditor of the township, school director, and justice of the peace from 1881 to 1886; he was a member of the G. A. R., and his family were members of the U. P. Church.
