General Notes: Husband - Amos Eisaman

He received a common school education, remained on the farm until the age of eighteen, in 1863, when he went to Mount Pleasant and learned the trades of house painting and chair making. The former occupation he continued for many years. He spent nine years in Carnegie, Allegheny County, and about 1894-95 removed to a home in Greensburg. He took an active part in politics, giving his allegiance to the Democratic party, and served in the capacity of councilman of his borough, school director, justice of the peace, and as deputy sheriff of the county. He held membership in the Lutheran church, in which body he served as deacon for a number of years. He was also a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and served one term as district deputy grand master.
