General Notes: Husband - Reuben Leonard
He was born in England and came to the United States in the early part of the nineteenth century. He was an iron worker by trade, and with a brother established the first iron works in the city of Pittsburgh, PA, in the early part of the nineteenth century, which they operated as the Kensington Rolling Mills. In 1833 he brought his family to Perry township, Armstrong County, locating on Bear creek, purchasing the old Bear Creek furnace, which he and his brother operated several years. After his retirement he lived with his daughter, Mrs. James Parker, and died at the old Parker homestead.
