General Notes: Husband - William Alexander Eckels

He prepared for college at West Nottingham Academy, Maryland. He then entered Dickinson College, from which institution he graduated as A. B. in 1883. After graduating he taught in academies, high schools and colleges of several different states and in 1898 received the degree of Ph. D. from Johns Hopkins University. He was later professor of Greek in Miami University, at Oxford, Ohio.
