General Notes: Husband - John Allen


He was reared on his father's settlement in Parker township, Butler county, Pennsylvania. He afterwards settled on the farm where his son John R. would later reside, in Allegheny township. Politically, he was an ardent Whig, and afterwards a Republican, and served in the office of justice of the peace for thirty-five years. He was one of the pioneer members of Parker Presbyterian church, and filled various offices in that society, being elder for many years.
