General Notes: Husband - Charles Edmund Eckels
He graduated as A. B. from Dickinson College in 1885. He then taught in Cecil County, Maryland, and privately studied theology. After being thus engaged for two years he entered the Senior class at Princeton Theological Seminary, from which he graduated in 1888. He then placed himself in the hands of the Presbyterian Board of Foreign Missions, who the same year sent him as missionary to Thailand. He came to have charge of the station at Nakawn-see-tamarat, Thailand, on the west coast of the Gulf of Siam.
