General Notes: Husband - John Presley Potter

He was reared on the farm and educated in the public schools of Monaca, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, and in 1882 took up his residence in Monaca. He was associated with his father in the teaming and contracting business, and took up coal in addition to these lines. He resided at No. 612 Washington avenue. He was a Republican in politics, and a member of the Presbyterian Church.
