General Notes: Husband - Jacob Wissler
Clay Twp, Lancaster Co, PA
He was a firm and energetic man, and is known to have made three separate journeys to Canada during his life-time on horseback. Although a Mennonite, he did not wholly ignore the law of self-defense, and his grandson, Benjamin, later possessed the cane with which he defended himself against the attack of an Indian upon one of his trips.
