Mt. Pleasant Twp, Westmoreland Co, PA

He came in early manhood from Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, to Westmoreland County. He followed the occupation of stock drover, operating between Westmoreland County and Philadelphia.

He was married three times; Mary Galloway was his third wife.

They were the parents of twelve children, ten of whom reached maturity.
