General Notes: Husband - William Hand Lester

---

He followed his father into the ministry, and consecrated his life to the work of a foreign missionary. He was graduated from Amherst College in 1878, also from Auburn Theological Seminary in 1882. He was licensed by the Presbytery of Cayuga, 1881, and ordained by the same in the following year. He then sailed for Santiago, Chili, which was the scene of his missionary labors.
