General Notes: Husband - James Hasson
His parents settled in Armstrong (later Clarion) county, in 1803. In 1832, he located in Shippenville, and managed a blacksmith shop for ten years. He was elected sheriff of Clarion County, in 1840, and prior to that (1838) was county commissioner of Venango. Subsequently he came to the mouth of Oil creek, and farmed and carried on a grist-mill, on the "Cornplanter flat." In 1879, besides his sons, Capt. Wm. Hasson of Oil City, and Alderman Hasson of Franklin, one daughter was at home, and one son and daughter were dead.
