General Notes: Husband - Hiram Berlin Eberhart

He lived for several years in Pennsylvania, and then moved to Hopkinton, Iowa. He spent a number of years in selling lightning rods, but the greater part of his life was spent as a farmer and dealer in live stock. Later in life, he retired from business, and lived on the income of his property, of which he had a liberal share. Early in life he became a member of the Lutheran Church, but on moving to Iowa, where he was not able to attend that church, he joined the Methodist Episcopal church.

Many of his children moved to the vicinity of Cherokee, Iowa.
