General Notes: Husband - John B. Gilson
After marriage he and his wife took care of Mr. and Mrs. John Gilson (his parents) until their deaths, and then occupied the old homestead. By industry and good management they added to it until they owned a farm of 175 acres of well-improved land, besides ninety acres they bought. In politics Mr. Gilson was a Democrat.
