General Notes: Husband - John B. Rich
He began his education in the public schools of Woolrich, Clinton County, Pennsylvania, later attended Dickinson Seminary, Williamsport, and was a graduate of the Eastman Business College, Poughkeepsie, New York. In 1877 he and his brother Michael B. were admitted to a partnership in their father's business, and after the death of the father the name was changed to John Rich & Brothers.
He was unswerving in his support of the Republican party, and for thirty years was an earnest and devout member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. For many years served as superintendent of the Sunday-school, president of the Epworth League, steward and trustee.
