General Notes: Husband - Michael H. Earhart

He came to Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and secured a tract of one hundred and forty acres in the year 1812, which was thereafter the homestead of the family. Here he built his house and so substantially was it constructed that it remained the home of his descendants over one hundred years later. This house was built in 1817 and was of stone. Part of it was replaced by his grandson Michael Earhart, but much of the rear portion containing kitchen, dining-room, etc., remained standing just as it was built in that early day.
