General Notes: Husband - Reuben M. Russell
He attended school at or near his home until he was seventeen years of age, and was a farmer until he was thirty. He was then employed in the coal mines for about four years, and afterward located at Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, in the employ of the Adams Express Company. After spending seven years in this occupation he came to West Salem Township, Mercer County, and purchased a farm of one hundred and four acres devoted chiefly to dairying and then supporting ten milch cows. In the improvement of this property ("Sunnyside Farm") Mr. Russell took a just pride, both because of its intrinsic value and its picturesqueness. His large and beautiful residence stood in the center of the farm, beneath a massive and venerable silver ash, four and a half feet in diameter and sixty-five years of age.
General Notes: Wife - Ella Ferguson
She was reared and educated in her native Ohio, and she was a young lady when her parents removed to Butler County, Pennsylvania. In 1888 they located in Mercer County.
