General Notes: Husband - John Nelson Ealy


He received a substantial common-school education, learned agriculture of his father, at whose death he came into possession of the home place, and he resided there, engaged in general agriculture, including the breeding of blooded stockstock, making a specialty of sheep. The farm, which consisted of 270 acres, was situated about half a mile south of East Finley postoffice, and was highly improved. Mr. Ealy was a member of the United Brethren Church, which he served as trustee. In politics he was a lifelong Republican, and one of the advisers and counsellors of his party. He served East Finley Township some years as school director. He was a member of the United Brethren Church at Fairmount.
