General Notes: Husband - Thomas Fergus
He and his brother, Samuel Fergus, natives of Scotland, came to America and settled first in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and about 1803 they came to Washington County. Samuel settled in South Strabane township, and Thomas in Chartiers township, purchasing two hundred acres of land July 13, 1803, of Moses Coe and John Crawford, who were the executors of Josiah Crawford, deceased. This was part of a tract of land patented to Andrew, Alexander, and William Crawford on the 8th of March, 1803, as the heirs of Josiah Crawford. On this tract Thomas Fergus settled with his wife and children and died there.
