Arthur C. Feltenberger Dies Friday In Hospital
FRANKLIN - Arthur C. Fel­tenberger, 67, of 1238½ Otter St. died at 1:04 a. m. Friday in the Franklin Hospital. He was admitted to the hospital one hour prior to his death.
A son of John and Margaret Snyder Feltenberger, he was born in Coal City on March 27, 1901.
Except for a brief period during which he lived in Cleveland, he resided in the Franklin area all of his life.
Mr. Feltenberger had been a railroad telegrapher and at the time of his death was custodian at the National Guard Armory, Franklin.
He was known for his talent with string instruments and had composed several songs.
He was a member of the Pine Hill Church of God.
Mr. Feltenberger and the for­mer Virginia Snyder were married on June 13, 1925.
She survives along with the following children: Donald Feltenberger of Polk; Mrs. Law­rence (Charlene) Steele, Mrs. Rodney (Sandra) Choffel, Ken­neth and Danny Feltenberger, all of Elkhart, Ind.; Mrs. Glenn (Nancy) Ritchey of Franklin RD 1; Michael, at home; and 25 grandchildren.
Also surviving are three bro­thers, John C. and Mertz Felten­berger of Franklin and Richard of Kittanning.
Four brothers and three sis­ters preceded him in death.
Friends are being received at the Buchanan-Schmidt Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home with Rev. Clayton Harriger, pastor of the Polk United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Sandy Cemetery.
