General Notes: Husband - Jesse Lines
Until his marriage he remained under the parental roof, acquiring a good, practical education in the common schools. At an early age he began assisting his father in business, keeping his books and acting as general foreman until his father's death, when he assumed charge of affairs. In the winter of 1896-97 he put in nearly five million feet of lumber at the King dam, on the Luthersburg branch of Sandy creek. He also looked after the farming interests of his father, but gave the greater part of his attention to logging on Sandy creek for John E. Du Bois.
