He attended the grammar and high schools of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, and afterward Geneva College for one year. After teaching school for one term, he chose the profession of a physician as his life work and entered Hahnemann Medical College of Philadelphia, whence he was graduated M. D. in 1907. He belonged to County, State and National Homoeopathic Medical societies, and affiliated with the Masonic order, holding Knights Templar degree.
