Margaret J. Exley
Margaret J. Exley, 70, formerly of Oil City, died at 3:30 p.m, Friday, March 28, 1997, at Titusville Area Hospital.
She was a resident at Grandview Health Care.
Born June 14, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Jean Snyder Stormer.
Mrs. Exley graduated from Oil City High School in 1944. She graduated from Edinboro University in 1947 with a degree in elementary education.
Mrs. Exley taught in the Oil City schools. She taught kindergarten from 1959-69 at a home school she started.
She married Francis Richard Exley on July 30, 1949. He died on July 2, 1994.
Mrs. Exley was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ivan (Frances "Paulie") Huff of Oil City RD 1 and Virginia "Ginger" Exley of Oil City; a sister, Martha Johnson of Monroe Falls, Ohio; four grandchildren Allen T. Huff, Jennifer A. Huff and Jonathan L. Huff, all of Oil City and Mrs. Joe (Holly) Brisley of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parants and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Wigley.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Monday in the Hutchinson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Wigley of New Wilmington, Mrs. Exley's brother-in-law, officiating.
Interment is in Brandon Cemetery.
