General Notes: Husband - John Thompson
He was reared on a farm, and learned the hatter's trade, which he followed in connection with tilling his farm. He assisted in surveying Middlesex township, and was one of the well known citizens of pioneer days. He was a life-long member of the Presbyterian church, and was a trustee in that denomination. He took quite an active interest in public affairs, was first a Whig, and then a Republican, and filled at different periods most of the township offices. He died on the old family homestead.
