General Notes: Husband - John McMichael
He was educated at the common schools, has followed farming and stock-dealing, and except one year spent in California always resided in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
In 1872 he purchased a farm of 192 acres, nearly all of which was under cultivation. He was school director six years, and served as supervisor. He was the first republican in the McMichael family.
