Franklin Twp, Westmoreland Co, PA

was a soldier in the Revolutionary war, and in fact all the Drums were of a military character. One of the descendants is Adjutant-General Drum, formerly of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, but now of Washington, D. C., and another is Simon Drum, now Mayor of Allegheny City.
