General Notes: Husband - Jeremiah Post
For a short time after he was married lived on a small farm which he owned near what is now Van Buren, Pennsylvania, which he sold and then bought the home farm, it being a part of a tract of land called "Content," situated on the headwaters of Ten Mile creek, owned by Dr. Charles Cracraft, where he afterward resided. Politically he was a Democrat; in religious faith he was a Cumberland Presbyterian, and was one of the charter members of the Bethel C. P. Church.
He came to western Pennsylvania from New Jersey and settled in Washington County, making his home in what is now South Franklin Township.
He was born in Essex County, New Jersey, and was twelve years of age when he came to Pennsylvania with his father in 1781. He received a limited education and became a farmer. He was one of the charter members of the Cumberland Presbyterian church at Van Buren, Pennsylvania, where he and his wife were buried.
