General Notes: Husband - John Kennedy

He was born on the homestead farm in Adams township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, received a common school education, and was reared a farmer. In politics, he was always a Republican, and served as township assessor, collector and overseer of the poor. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church, and was church auditor for several years.
He had several producing oil wells on his farm.
