General Notes: Husband - Dr. Boyd Emery

---

He was reared and educated in his native town. He graduated from Jefferson College, standing second in his class, and afterward studied medicine at Canonsburg under Dr. Leatherman. He then entered Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, and after receiving his degree, settled near Dunningsville, Washington County, where he passed his life, practicing medicine.

He had three children with his first wife; all were deceased before 1893.
