From 1912 he was president and publisher of these newspapers. He also was president and publisher of the "Daily Times" of Beaver, Pennsylvania, a duty he discharged beginning in 1911. He was also president and publisher of the "Tribune" of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, all of them daily newspapers. Mr. Stewart's political activities made him secretary of the Republican County Committee of Washington County, in 1904; and a member of the State Republican Executive Committee in 1922. He is president of the Washington County Chapter of the American Red Cross; president of the Washington Hospital Association; director and past president of the Washington Chamber of Commerce; past president of the Washington Rotary Club; president of the Washington Seminary board of trustees; a member of the Nemacolin Country Club, and of the Washington Golf and Country Club.
