General Notes: Husband - John Bernard Elliott
He grew up in Venango County, Pennsylvania, receiving a thorough common school education, and was trained for business in his father's employ, being well grounded in all the details of the tinning trade by practical experience. When his father died he continued to carry on the trade, having a large patronage in and around Franklin and ample equipment for taking care of any kind of work in his line. Mr. Elliott is himself a competent workman, and keeps up-to-date in matters pertaining to his business, assuring his patrons the best service possible. Personally he has attained good standing wherever known, having the friendly esteem of his associates in all the relations of life. He is a past officer of Lodge No. 255, I. O. O. F., and is now serving as financial secretary of that organization, having succeeded to that position upon his father's death. He is the present city treasurer of Franklin, having been elected to that office by the city council Jan. 7, 1918, for a term of two years. [HVC 1919, 900]
