General Notes: Husband - Dr. Raymond H. Pillow, M.D.

He came with his parents to Butler, Pennsylvania, when a small boy. He was educated in the public schools of Butler, then entered the Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, and from this institution he was graduated as a member of the class of 1876. He then established his residence at Butler, where he soon won for himself a large practice.
In politics he was a stanch Republican. In 1900 he was a delegate from his congressional district to the Republican National Convention held in Philadelphia, and assisted in nominating McKinley and Roosevelt as the standard-bearers of the party. In 1906 he received the endorsement of Butler County citizens for Congress, but in the district conference the late Col. George F. Huff of Westmoreland County was nominated. The Doctor was a member of the Butler County Medical Association, in which he held various offices, and likewise was actively identified with the Pennsylvania State Medical Society, and the American Medical Association. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church; a director in the Butler Savings and Trust Company, and served several terms on the Butler School Board. Doctor Pillow was a Mason, F. and A. M. No. 272. He was also a member of the surgical staff of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company.
