After the death of his parents he assumed charge of the old home place, and upon which he erected a new residence and barn, and made other improvements. He was a prosperous agriculturist, but for some years he rented his place. Politically he was a Republican, taking an interest in the success of his party. In religion he was a member of Robinson U. P. Church.
